Overview
iOS is the operating system created by Apple Inc. At first, iOS is used only for the iPhone, however, in its development iOS is also used for other Apple devices, such as: iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV. In iOS there are four abstraction layers, namely: the Core OS layer, the Core Services layer, the Media layer, and the Cocoa Touch layer.
History
Founder/Inventor/Main Programmer
iOS is a product developed by Apple Inc. on 9 june 2007, and released at the same month. At first iOS was not used as an operating system, not until 2008, Apple Inc. released it as an operating system with the name “iPhone OS X.” In 2010, Apple Inc. changed its name to “iOS” (this is done to distinguish the first IOS used by Cisco).

iOS can only be used for 1 platform, namely the ARM.
Kernel type
iOS using a hybrid kernel, a kernel architecture that combines the microkernel and monolithic kernel which is normally used as the OS of a computer. Hybrid is made with the same structure with the microkernel but working with the monolithic kernel working system.
