Bada is the operating system created by Samsung Electronics. This OS is used for mobile phone and SmartPhone with low-end technology. Bada in the Korean language means “Ocean.” Samsung continues to develop Bada OS, so it could be recognized around the world.

History

Founder/Inventor/Main Programmer

Samsung Electronics is the creator of Bada OS, and it was first announced on 10 November 2009. Then, in the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, February 2010, Samsung released the first product that uses Bada as the OS, the Samsung S8500 Wave. Since then, Samsung continues to develop Bada.

Version

• BADA 1.0, this version is issued in conjunction with the launch of Samsung S8500 Wave.
• Bada 1.0.2, an updated version of previous version, this version was released to fix minor damage that is felt by users of Bada in Europe.
• BADA 1.2, this version was launched simultaneously with Wave II Samsung S8530.
• BADA 2.0 alpha version of this OS had been launched on 15 February 2011.
