History
Motorola Inc. founded in Chicago, Illinois, on 25 September 1928 with the name of Galvin Manufacturing Corporation. In 1930, it used the Motorola name. Paul Gavlin as the founder of Motorola bought the rights to patent the name of Motorola from William Lear. In 1943 Motorola opened to the public, since the name was changed to Motorola Inc. until now. In 1991, Motorola showed a prototype of the first mobile phone system. And in 1998, Motorola has finally taken over by Nokia.
Founder

Paul Vincent Galvin, born in Harvard, Illinois on 27 June 1895. He became army artillery during the World War I. After that he attended the Illinois Institute of Technology. His name was enshrined into the name of the campus library. Paul Galvin died on 5 November 1959.

1. Greg Brown, The President & CEO of Motorola
Greg Brown was born in Illinois in 1960. He joined Motorola Inc. since 2003, and occupied important positions in 2008. He received his bachelor degree from Rutgers University. Although, Motorola Inc. has not been able to carry through the crisis, but, with experience of more than 25 years, he gradually brought a change in Motorola Inc.
2. Sanjay Jha, The CEO of Motorola
Sanjay was born in Bihar, India in 1963. He earned his engineering degree from the University of Liverpool. Meanwhile, he received his Ph.D. in electronic and electrical engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. Sanjay Jha joined Motorola since 4 August 2008.
Financial
In 2007, Motorola’s handset division lost $ 1.2 billion. In 2009, Motorola once again have to encounter a loss of $ 1.34 billion. In 2010, despite a loss, but the number has plummeted to $ 86 million.
