History
LG Corp. founded in 1947 in Busan, South Korea. However, now LG Corp. headquartered in Seoul, South Korea at LG twins tower building. LG Corp. in 1952 established LG Chem that produces plastic. Then, in 1958, LG Corp. re-established a subsidiary named LG Electronics, which manufactures electronic equipments, one of which is mobile phones. In 1995, LG already able to compete with similar companies in Europe and America.
Founder
LG Corp. founder is Mr. Koo In-Hwoi. He was born in 1907, and died in 1969.

1. Koo Bon-Moo, chairman of LG Corp.
Koo Bon-Moo was the grandson of the founder of LG Corp. who was born in 1945. He is a graduate of Ashland University. He served as Chairman of LG Corp. since 1995.
2. Koo Bon-joon, Vice Chairman & CEO of LG Electronics
Koo Bon-joon is also the grandson of the founder of LG Corp. he was born in 1951. He is a graduate of Seoul National University for his bachelor degree, and he received a master’s degree from the University of Chicago. He served in LG Electronics since 2010 to replace Yong Nam, who resigned.
Financial
The financial statements of LG in 2003 mentioned that they get a net income of $ 596.7 million. In 2004, their net revenue $ 1.39 billion, that number doubled from a year earlier. The following year, their income fell to $ 632.7 million. In 2007, LG is getting an income of $ 1.1 billion. Then, two years later they get net income of $ 1.84 billion.
