History
Alcatel-Lucent (at that time, it is still called Alcatel) of France and TCL Communication of China decided to establish joint ventures, and founded TCT Mobile Ltd. in 2004. TCT will take care of three business units, namely: Alcatel mobile phones, TCL mobile phones, and Brand Design Lab.
Founder
Alcatel-Lucent is a global telecommunications company headquartered in Paris, France. Alcatel-Lucent is the result of merging two big companies Alcatel and Lucent Technologies on 1 December 2006. The two companies have a long history in the IT industry.
TCL Communication is the electronics company based in Guangdong, China. The company was founded in 1981. In 2000, the company has been able to compete in the global market.

1. Li Dongsheng, the Chairman of TCL Communication
Li was born in July 1957. He earned a bachelor’s degree from South China University of Technology. In 2005 he entered in the list of 25th most influential people in the world by Time Magazine.
2. Guo Aiping George, Executive Director of TCL Communication
Guo holds PhD degree from Stanford University. He joined the TCL Communication in 2001, and served as executive director since 2010. Guo is 47-year-old.

In 2008, TCT Mobile Ltd. gain net profit of $ 3.6 million. In 2009, revenue was down about 19% to $ 2.9 million.
